Landominiums – an alternative to Condos

We all know there are apartments, houses, lots, condos, and landominiums… wait LANDOMINIUMS? What’s that, you might wonder?

A landominium is a bit like a condominium, or condo, but very different in one important way. If you have a condo, you own the inside walls, floor and ceiling. Everything beyond is owned by everyone in the condo association, like common halls, the exterior, and the land around it.

But if you have a landominium – which are typically townhomes – you own your walls, roof, and the lot on which it sits. It is like a single family home, with the advantage of a property manager taking care of exterior building and grounds maintenance, but without a ‘condo board’ that some buyers find intrusive.

Here’s an example of a landominium I have listed for sale right now. Woodland Vistas , a beautiful new development of Luxury Lifestyle Landominiums Woodland Vistas is located in Columbia Township which is adjacent to Madeira and minutes from Hyde Park, the Kenwood Country Club and the Kenwood Towne Centre. Check it out at WoodlandVistas.com.

So if you’re thinking about a new place to live, you now have another option – maybe a landominium would be right for you!
